CATELLI® HEALTHY HARVEST® pasta is made using whole grain durum wheat semolina. Wheat semolina is the coarse flour that you get when hard durum wheat is ground and the finer flour is sifted out. Semolina flour has a higher protein content and is best for making pasta. Through CATELLI® ‘s expertise and knowledge of the pasta business, 14 whole grain varieties were developed under the HEALTHY HARVEST® brand, with the optimal taste and texture foremost in mind, alongside the great nutritional benefits of 100% whole grain.

Made with 100% whole grain

Eating Well with Canada's Food Guide recommends choosing whole grains for at least half of the grains products you eat every day. Whole grain foods are healthy and nutritious carbohydrates because they are made with all three parts of the grain:

  • the outer bran layer (rich in protein, fibre, B-vitamins such as thiamine, riboflavin, niacin and folacin, and minerals such as zinc, copper, magnesium and iron);
  • the middle endosperm layer (providing some protein, B-vitamins and almost all of the carbohydrate); and

Low in fat

Following a lower fat way of eating is one of the best things you can do to improve your health. All CATELLI® HEALTHY HARVEST® Pasta varieties are low in fat and contain less than 3 grams of fat per 85g serving. Watch the amount of creamy sauces that you use over pasta to keep the overall fat content low. Or aim to use tomato-based sauces more often.
